Gynata is truly doing wonderfully! She has not touched a crystal for a good month or two, and her skin is returning to its normal color. Her face is becoming fuller, and she looks healthier. The screaming in the night has ceased. Also, I have been giving her lessons in music. She seemed most interested to learn the lute. I have to brush up on that a bit before I can start teaching it. It's been a very long time, at least six years, since I picked up a lute. Ah, well. Practice makes perfect, hmm?

I have learned, however, that Gynata's skills at singing are, well...How to put it nicely...They could use a lot of work. There. That's the kindest thing I can think of. But! With a little practice, they could pass for decent. When I told Malendria this, she smirked.
   "Well, Madame Aria," she said. "Not everyone can have your lovely voice." I frowned and said my voice hardly passes for decent. She laughed and said I was too modest. But anyhow...Yes, Gynata progressed well on the piano. She has an ear for music, and for this I'm proud. I'm sure she could start writing some songs of her own, soon.

Now, reading back at that, it seems quite obvious that she and I no longer despise each other. On the contrary, we have become quite close, it seems. She apologized for attempted, er, murder, which was followed by much tears. I apologized, as well, for every time I was short and harsh with her. 

Oh, yes! Speaking of apologies...I will be writing a song for anyone I ever hurt or insulted. It may take a while, for this song should be absolutely flawless and perfect in every way. It should be a diamond, something that can never be cracked and completely real. The song will be all about every harsh word I ever said, any hearts I had ever broken, every disappointment I made my friends and family suffer. This song will be all about personal experiences, not something made up.
