Alright. We'll go right back to Eleanea's life later. But I fear, in preparation for California, a lot of weird and amusing things happened. (They were probably funnier at the time, though.) Here is the list.

1. Look for suitcases in closet.
2. Realize suitcases are in basement. Sigh, cursing the fact I was looking upstairs for half an hour.
3. Bang head on bike hanging from roof. Swear loudly and wonder why mother is not getting suitcases.
4. Realize she was going to.
5.  Go to take shower.
6. Get out of shower and then see skin breaking out. 
7. Ponder, and then tell self that the 'soap' I was using was lotion.
8. Contemplate, wondering if hives are a bad thing.
9. Realize hives are always a bad thing. Run back into shower.
10. Outbreak stops. Rejoice at sight of suitcases.
11. Take suitcases into room.
12. Pack black dress, despite mother's warnings that California is warm.
13. Look for black tights. Realize all tights have runs.
14. Decide to bring black dress anyway.
15. Cat comes in and sits on clothing.
16. Shoo cat.
17. Bitten by cat. Curse.
18. Brother comes in and removes cat. Rejoice.
19. Finish clothing packing. Attempt to stuff six books into bag.
20. Become angry when books do not fit.
21. Begin to understand I'll want books on plane. Stuff into backpack.  
22. Begin search for iPod.
23. iPod dead.
24. Realize that one is able to charge an iPod. Rejoice.
25. Charge iPod.
26. Discover that dress has a rip in it.
27. Stare, dumbstruck. Pack sewing needle and thread.
28. Look for flip flops.
29. Do not find flip flops.
30. Wonder if one can wear suede boots to California.
31. No, one cannot.
32. Pack boots anyway.
33.  Find one pair of run-free tights. Celebrate.
34. Realize these were my cousin's and that she had cut off the feet. Curse.
35. Wonder why anyone would cut off feet of tights.
36. Realize cousin is...stupid.
37. Go without tights.
38. Stare at ground and then go sit outside for a long time.
39. Return.
40. Realize that I'm using my brother''s suitcase. 
41. Go lie in traffic.
